Sea Colony beach replenishment project poised to resume after Noel break

Bulldozers and other heavy equipment are awaiting the return of the dredge ships after last weekend’s passing of Tropical Storm Noel. The project at Sea Colony started on October 26 (after completing efforts in Bethany Beach proper), but the approaching tropical storm suspended the sand pumping operations late last week. Prior to shutting down for the storm, work had progressed rapidly southward nearly to Ocean Pool 2 – between Chesapeake and Dover buildings.
