The 5th annual Sea Colony Turkey Trot 5k & Fun Walk returns to “The Premier Family Beach & Tennis Resort Community” on Sunday, November 25, 2007. The race starts at 9 a.m. at Sea Colony’s Freeman Fitness Center, located one mile west of Route 1 on West Way Drive. Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Awards for the 5k will be given to the overall male and female winner, plus the top three in five-year age groups from 10 and up to over 70. The winner will receive a trip donated by ResortQuest Hilton Head. Fun walk participants will receive a prize at the finish line.
The first 150 to register receive T-shirts. Post-race refreshments and award ceremony at the Fitness Center will follow the event.

Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Delaware. A not-for-profit volunteer organization, Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) offers athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in 16 different sports. Turkey Trot proceeds from past years helped buy new bikes for local SODE athletes training for cycling events. With your support, we hope to help SODE purchase equipment and uniforms for these talented athletes.
